The Department of State Services (DSS), has confirmed the release of the former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
Savannah News had earlier reported the arrest of the former DSS boss.
He was arrested and detained by the DSS on June 14, 2023, was freed on Wednesday night October 25.
Bawa release confirmation was made known by Peter Afunanya, spokesperson to the DSS through the agency’s Twitter page.
In the tweet: “DSS confirms release of former EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, a few hours ago, today, Oct. 25,” he posted on X (Formerly Twitter).
