Condominium Authority of Ontario, Canada has elected, Olujimi Adekanle as a Board Member of the organisation.
The Condo Authority is governed by an independent board of directors. Elected directors are filled through a nominating committee process.
Their job is to help manage the condo corporation and make decisions that ensure the building and condo finances are run with the greater good in mind.
They are also there to help protect tenants and their rights. The board is ruled and enforced under the Condo Act of Ontario and the condo’s own declaration, by-laws, and rules.
According to the condo act, only owners and or tenants are allowed to be elected to the board.
The board is also accountable for the performance of the Condo Authority to the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery.
The election, which was announced by the electoral body put in place by the Canadian government in a statement said, Adekanle won the keenly contested election.
Announcing the election, the outgoing members commended Prince Olujimi Adekanle, for winning the election.
“He will bring to the organisation his depth of experience which spans over three decades in various leadership and strategic positions across the private and public sectors.
“We congratulate him for this and wish him, and other members all the very best”.
