The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted reports in the media that 30 people were killed in Kuje, SAVANNAH NEWS REPORTS.
Killing report was on social media few days ago claiming about 30 people were killed as a result of landslide due to mining activities going on in Kuje area.
FCT Police command in a press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Josephine Adeh, insisted that no such incident took place in the area.
According to her:“Commissioner of Police in chargw of the FCT Command, CP Haruna Garba, wishes to enjoin the residents of the FCT to disregard the news making the rounds that about 30 persons were killed as result of landslide due to Mining activities in kuje Area council as no such incident took place.
“This misleading information is not only intended to cause fear and panic among Nigerians, but to make people into Believing that FCT is not safe. The FCT is the safest and most secure part of the country.
“It is on this note that the CP warns the non-state actors involved in purveying misleading information to desist.”
